On November 23, 2010 the solemn launching ceremony took place at “Nevsky Shipyard”, LLC. The lead multipurpose salvage vessel “Spasatel Karev” (Yard Number 701), capacity 4 MW, Design Project MPSV07, was launched. “Nevsky Shipyard”, LLC is constructing this vessel in accordance with the State Shipbuilding Contract No. №226-АСС4/32-ГК-09.
The State Customer of the vessel is the Federal Marine and River Transport Agency.
The Customer is The Direction of State Contractor of Marine Transport Development Program.
Design Bureau is “Marine Engineering Bureau-Design-SPb”, JSC.
This vessel has absolutely new design and it is intended to enlarge the fleet of the state emergency and rescue service. The launch of the vessel is an extremely important event, and it is not a coincidence that it was paid attention at high level.

And other official persons took part in the celebratory ceremony devoted to this significant event.
In their speeches addressed to both the staff of Nevsky Shipyard and the participants of the ceremony, the guests of honor expressed gratitude to workers of the Shipyard for their work.
At the next stage of Launching ceremony there was vessel christening. Valentina Bakharev - the chief of General Design Bureau of Nevsky Shipyard Design Engineering Department became the godmother of the vessel.
