On February, 09th, 2010 Nevsky Shipyard and « Okskaya Sudoverf JSC» (Shipyard «Oka») signed the Contract the subject of which is the production and delivery of sections for cylindrical part of the hull for RSD 44 type vessels.

The contract is concluded within the intracorporate cooperation - both shipyards are a part of transport holding « Universal Cargo Logistics Holding », as well as «Volga Shipping JSC » - the end-customer of the vessels which are under construction at Shipyard «Oka».  

Vessels of project RSD 44 are river cargo vessels of 5380 t deadweight and capacity of the power-plant 2160 KW intended for replacing aging vessels of "Volga-Don" type on internal transportations. The terms of the construction of a 10 - vessel series being very tight (the last vessel is to be delivered to the Customer before the end of 2012), and the automated Line for Flat Sections Assembly and Welding of the German company IMG having been put into operation at «Nevsky Shipyard»,  the companies at the participation of the managing company LLC «Management of Transport Assets» (MTA) agreed that flat section of ship hull cylindrical parts for several units of the series will be produced at  «Nevsky Shipyard». According to the terms of the signed contract «Nevsky Shipyard» will produce sections for 2 vessels with an option of production sections for three more vessels.

 Thus, participation of Nevsky Shipyard will make it possible for Shipyard «Oka» to optimize the construction schedule and to execute ship-building contracts in target dates.
