Nevsky Shipyard took part in the next meeting of the Association of the River Fleet Industrial Enterprises “RECHPROM” which took place on February 28th in Moscow.
The Director General of the “Moscow Shipbuilding and Shiprepairing Plant”, on the territory of which the meeting was held, addressed the participants of the meeting with words of welcome. During his speech Mr. R.N. Mazhorov told about current status and promising projects of the shipyard. One of the most interesting projects of the shipyard is the “Pilgrim” Project. When visiting the workshops of the shipyard the participant could watch the construction process of two new vessels of this project.
The representatives of more than 30 enterprises – members of the Association – took part in the work of the meeting. Among them were: shipbuilding and shiprepair yards, research and design bureaus, equipment and materials manufacturers and suppliers. During the meeting new members of the Association were accepted: “Kronshtadt”, LLC – a well-known supplier of marine and port equipment; and “Vyborg”, LLC – a supplier of welding and other technological equipment for shipbuilding industry.
Mr. V.V. Karlashov, the representative of the Commission for National Maritime Policy, took part in the work of the meeting. He informed the participants of the meeting about consideration status of the draft law about support for shipbuilding and shipping. The draft law with disagreement of Ministry of Finance got through the Russian Federation Commission for law project work. Then, the draft law was supported by vice-premier in charge Igor Sechin with a statement: the disagreement should be left to the discretion of the Chairman of the Government.
Continuing on the theme about the support of shipbuilding yards, the representative of the closed joint stock company “Sberbank Leasing” Mr. A.N. Komarov addressed a meeting with offers to arrange operation with shipbuilding yards through leasing scheme, which, in turn, should result in new possibilities for modernization and development of river fleet enterprises.
The participants heard and discussed the report of the President of the Association Mr. A.A. Goncharov about the work done in 2010, and approved the Association Activities Plan for 2011. Powers of Mr. Goncharov as the President of the Association for the next reporting period were approved unanimously.
