Berthing complex with helicopter platform built by Nevsky Shipyard is to serve the needs of the city

On December 10, 2014 the opening ceremony of the complex took place. At the very beginning of the ceremony the flags of RF Ministry of Defence,  the Russian Federation and Moscow were raised under the Anthem of the Russian Federation.

Nikolai PANKOV Stats Secretary Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, Army General, Pyotr Biryukov deputy mayor of the capital and other representatives of the Ministry, Capital Government and the Ministry of Emergency Situations took part in opening ceremony.

- Exactly 10 days ago the National Defense Control Center took up combat duty. The integral part of the National center is Berthing complex with helicopter platform. It is intended for both the needs of the National center and Armed forces in general. But the priority function of the complex is  serving the  needs of the capital medicine. Everything necessary is foreseen at the complex to ensure the fastest evacuation of the injured, wounded and seriously ill people

The Berthing complex was built at Nevsky Shipyard. The designer is CDB Baltsudoproekt. The complex represents single-hull rack mount pontoon with helicopter platform, auxiliary rooms, waiting room for passengers, medical station, crew’s accommodation for 3 persons from technical staff.

The length of the complex - 43 meters, width - 17 meters. It is intended for mooring of boats of different types. The helicopter platform (diameter – over 25 m; about 500 m2) is for landing and takeoff of MI-8 type helicopters.

The complex will work in constant state of readiness for helicopters landing and boats mooring; as well as  for rendering first aid or help in an emergency situation.
