On June 23rd, 2014, an unusual delegation visited Nevsky Shipyard. Future design engineers, servicemen of ships and shipbuilders – the participants of All Russian ship modeling competition, visited with great interest the workshops, the slipway, the vessels which are being built at Nevsky Shipyard. They compared theirs ships models with the capabilities of industrial enterprise.
All Russian ship modeling competition among the pupils takes place from 24 June to 30 June in the urban locality Toksovo in Vsevolozhsky district of Leningrad region. The organizer is State budgetary educational institution of additional education “Leningrad regional centre of additional education for children “Ladoga”.
The teams from 16 Russian regions participate in the competition.
Radio-controlled models shown at the competition are to be not just identical copies of real cruisers, destroyers and submarines, but the ships should demonstrate performance during sailing. The fastest and the most maneuverable will win the competition.
The visiting of young ship model makers isn’t occasional as Nevsky Shipyard is one of the competition sponsors.
