Nevsky Shipyard took part in the action "Week without turnstiles"

Nevsky SShipyard (part of JSC "USC") took part in the All-Russian action of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia "Week without turnstiles". In total, more than 100 schoolchildren and students got acquainted with the enterprise.

More than 100 schoolchildren and students visited Nevsky Shipyard from the 11th to 15th October 2021 to get acquainted with the activities of the Shipyard, the production process of building ships, learn about the specifics of work, professions in the shipbuilding industry and career prospects.

The action was attended by students of Priladozhskaya Secondary School, MBOU "Shlisselburg Secondary School No. 1", MCOU "Putilovskaya Basic General Education School" and students of the State Budgetary Educational Institution "Technical School of Water Transport".

During the excursions, pupils and students visited the hull-assembly and assembly-delivery shops, an automatic line for assembly and welding of flat sections, the shipyard slip. The students learned how the construction of the ship begins, what stages of processing the metal goes through, how the sections are assembled and the hull of the ship is formed. The excursions ended with visiting ships under construction and participation in a group photo session. For each group of pupils and students, a personal excursion route was developed, taking into account their specialization and age category.

Nevsky Shipyard has been participating in the Week without Turnstiles for several years and conducts career guidance on a regular basis, the purpose of which is to increase youth interest in engineering and technical specialties, to form an early career guidance system, and to increase human resources in the engineering industry.
