Nevsky Shipyard employees were trained under the Lean Production program of the Process Factory project

On March 22, 2022, the Shipyard employees completed a training course on lean manufacturing.

The training program for the personnel of the Shipyard is carried out as planned and advanced training at the site of the Polytechnic College in Kirovsk.

Lean manufacturing involves not only the use of methods and techniques, but also changes in the entire corporate culture; not only changing processes and ways of working, but also changing approaches to working with people (the people themselves) - involving people.

Lean manufacturing is: a systematic approach to identifying and eliminating waste through continuous improvement; setting up production processes depending on the value for the consumer; striving for excellence in all aspects of the company's activities.

The training includes both theoretical part and practical examples that help shipyard employees to consolidate knowledge and acquire new skills. For example, as part of the training, employees of Nevsky Shipyard got acquainted with the tools of the 5S system that will be used in production. During the practical part of the training, the employees of the enterprise had to assemble models of several types of parts, while thinking about optimizing the production process.

The effectiveness of training lies in the optimal ratio of practicing practical skills and the presentation of theoretical material, and of course, in the high professionalism of the teacher.

After successfully completing the training each student received a certificate of professional development under the Lean Production program.
