On July 8th, 2009 Nevsky Shipyard will launch a seagoing dump deck barge «Volgo-Baltika» with cargo capacity of 3640 tons. The Customer – North-West Fleet, JSC
Main characteristics of the ship:
∙ Length between transoms – 102,3 m
∙ Length by CWL – 100,0 m
∙ Breath molded - 16, 5 m
∙ Depth amidships – 4,2 m
∙ Draft by CWL – 2,8 m
Class of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping – К 1 III СП . The vessel is built according to project № 03060, as well as 4 dumb deck barges delivered to the Customer - «OMS-Shipping» (Kazakhstan) earlier (the last one, OMS-504, is delivered on May 29th , this year). At the same time during the process of new vessel construction considerable changes were made in the project design at the customer’s request due to particular service conditions which this vessel is intended for. Nevertheless the vessel is constructed to the date stated in shipbuilding contract - 7 months.
