Nevsky Shipyard continues the construction of the series of 10 dry-cargo “river-sea” type vessels of about 7000 dwt RSD49 project (The Project is developed by “Marine Engineering Bureau-Design-SPb”, JSC in close co-operation with the specialists of the Customer and Shipyard.). The Customer is «North-Western Shipping Company», JSC.

On November 26 th, 2011 the next key event took place that is the loading of main engines on board the hull No. 403. The forming of the hulls and mechanical and assembling operations are continued on the hulls No.402 (keel-laying on April 20 th, 2011) and 403 (keel-laying on August 15 th, 2011). Shipyard started to form the hull structures of the yard № 404 (keel-laying on October 24 th, 2011).

Due to the fact that on Nevsky Shipyard there isn’t enough slip place, the order 401 will be completed on Onega Shipyard. The Shipyards have signed the Cooperation Agreement. Technical launching of the vessel was held on October 28 th, 2011, after that the vessel was towed to Petrozavodsk to the place of her completion. On November 19 th the vessel was lifted on slip and Onega shipyard started works there.

Principal dimensions: length overall - 139, 95 m, beam overall - 16,7 m, draft in river - 3,6 m, cargo holds, length – 25 m + 50 m + 25 m, deadweight in river (draft 3.6 m)  – about 4525 t, deadweight at sea (draft 4.7 m) – about 7000 t, capacity of cargo holds  - about 10900 m3.

The vessels are built according to the rules and under the survey of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS) on Ship’s class - КМ Iсе2 R2 AUT1-C.

4 vessels are expected to be delivered in 2012.
