According to Rosmorrechflot’s Sea Rescue Service the multi-purpose Arctic salvage vessel "Spasatel Kavdeykin" 4 MW project MPSV07 (build by Nevsky Shipyard, Schliesselburg) FSFI “Rosmorrechflot’s Sea Rescue Service” - since March, 10, 2016 the vessel has been providing the performance of research works in the waters of the South – Kirinskoe Field on the Okhotskoe Sea shelf with the participation of specialists of FSFI “Zubov Institute of Marine Fisheries and Oceanography”.
The vessel involved in following operations:
- The daytime unloading of the research group and equipment on the ice features for measuring;
- Destroying of investigational ice features by the hull, recording of the vessel engine working conditions and the other specifications of the hull load;
- The research group implements the video fixation, instrumental measurements and visual study of ice coverage characteristics and meteorological parameters, when the vessel is under way.
"SPASATEL KAVDEYKIN" – is a unique multifunctional Arctic salvage vessel by her equipment and available technology; she was built by Nevsky Shipyard in 2013 by order of FSUC "State Customer Management of Maritime Transport Development Programs" of the Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport of the Russian Federation for Rosmorrechflot’s Sea Rescue Service. There is four vessels in this series, all vessels of this project (MPSV07) was built in Nevsky Shipyard.
