Anatoly Kavdeykin was born in 1928, worked as a Long-distance sea captain on rescue vessels of the far Eastern shipping company's ASPTR Expeditionary Detachment from 1968 to February 1990 before retiring to a well-deserved rest.
After finishing sea school, Kavdeykin worked as a mate and captain on ships of the USSR Academy of Sciences and the far Eastern shipping company. Anatoly for the entire period of work as a captain showed himself exclusively from the best side: as a competent leader, who perfectly mastered the emergency rescue business, he repeatedly took part in emergency rescue operations in the Pacific fleet. He took part in the rescue of the vessel "Bratsk", the recovery of sunken floating docks in the Kuril Islands, and was repeatedly the head of an expedition to haul floating docks from the Black sea to the far East. Anatoly Kavdeykin brought up more than one generation of boat masters, many of whom still work in FSUE "far Eastern BASU". For participation in the performance of special flights in the last years of the Patriotic war in the far East, A. Kavdeykin was awarded two medals "for the victory over Japan" and "for valiant labor".
From 1969 to 1973, he was a captain on the Helios lifeguard, which ensures the safety of Soviet vessels in Vietnamese waters blocked by minefields.
In the port of Haiphong, he was awarded the Vietnamese government award-the "friendship of peoples" medal .

The Vessel "SPASATEL Kavdeykin"- for his "life" has taken part in many different operations, remember what they are: MASS "Lifeguard Kavdeykin" took part in the drill on Sakhalin, participated in the exercises LARN berth "Falcon" company "Ekson Neftegaz limited" in Chikhachev Bay, doing ice-breakers operations in the ports of Vanino and Sovetskaya Gavan, extinguished "conditional" fire on the ship "Ruby", took part in exercises in the sea of Okhotsk in the area of the site "Lisyansky" , in ice conditions provided the study on the shelf of the Okhotsk sea, carried out the towing of the barge-laying "defender" from Murmansk to Stavanger, took part in the international search and rescue exercise "Barents 2014"
