Nevsky Shipyard employees completed the "Lean Manufacturing" program of the "Process Factory" project

On July 21, 2021, the Shipyard employees undertook and completed training on lean manufacturing. The training program for the personnel of the enterprise takes place on a scheduled basis and is carried out within the framework of advanced training together with JSC "USC" at the site of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University".

Lean manufacturing implies not only the use of methods and techniques, but also changes in the entire corporate culture; not only changing processes and ways of working, but also changing approaches to working with people (people themselves) - involving people. Lean manufacturing is a systematic approach to identifying and eliminating losses through continuous improvement; setting up production processes depending on the value for the consumer; striving for perfection in all aspects of the company.

The training took place according to the methodology developed by USC JSC. It includes not only a theoretical part, but also practical examples that help Shipyard employees to consolidate their knowledge and acquire new skills. For example, as part of the training, the employees of Nevsky Shipyard got acquainted with the tools of the “5S system” that will be used in production. During the practical part of the training, the employees of the enterprise had to assemble models of several types of ships, while simultaneously thinking about optimizing the production process.

After successfully passed training, each participant received a certificate of advanced training under the Lean Manufacturing program.
