The second Russian wide conference “Rescuing at sea-2013” was held in Saint-Petersburg on November 27-28. The conference was supported by FBE «State Marine Emergency Salvage, Rescue and Pollution Prevention Coordination Service of the Russian Federation» (SMPCSA) and Marine Board under the Government of St. Petersburg.
The conference was aimed to discuss the current state, problems and further development ways of federal system of maritime activities search and rescue support of the Russian Federation, state rescuing system reforming, measures for increasing of search and rescue works efficiency.
The representatives of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of natural Disasters, Naval Forces, the heads of department search and rescue services, shipping companies’ managers, the specialists of organizations and agencies for search and rescue detachment issues, the manufacturers of search and rescue equipment.
Nevsky Shipyard’s specialists also took part in the conference. Mr. Dmitriy Egorov, Chief technical director of Nevsky Shipyard, gave the address on construction of rescue fleet at the Shipyard as part of Federal Target Program “Development of transport system (2010-2020)”. He told about the general data and functions, construction progress of the series of 4 vessels, accumulated experience, desire and readiness of the Shipyard collective to take part in salvage vessels construction of another projects.
