On March 17th, 2015, T-34 tank was returned to the memorial “Nevsky Paytachok” in Kirovsk district. Nevsky Shipyard carried out the tank restoration. The tank was derusted, sandblasting works were made, then the tank was primed and painted. The current repair is the part of Leningrad region program for restoration of all war monuments of the region to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The governor of Leningrad region, Alexander Drozdenko, the head of Kirovsk municipal district, Dmitry Vasilenko and the head of Kirovsk municipal district administration, Mikhail Kolomytsev have assisted at the legendary military tank installation on the memorial.
Everybody has noted the high quality of the tank repair. According to the director of the diorama “The Break of the Blockade of Leningrad” the current condition of the tank can be estimated as 5 out of 5.
