On August 29th, 2015, the ceremony of putting into operation of the self-propelled car and passenger ferry “ARKADY FILATOV”, project 2967/3132, built at Nevsky Shipyard (Schliesselburg, Leningrad region) took place at the settlement Voznesenye of Podporozhsky district in Leningrad region.
The building of the ferry intended for 100 passengers was carried out on order of Automobile road department of Leningrad region. The general data: length overall - 40,5 m, overall width - 12,2 m, midships depth - 3,3 m, full-load draft - 1,7 m, above-water dimension of fixed parts - 8,5 m, deadweight - 100 t. The ferry is able to transport up to 8 triaxial dump trucks KAMAZ type or 16 medium cars.
A new ferry arrived at the settlement Voznesenye to the beginning of the festival ceremony where the ferry was welcomed by the inhabitants of the settlement and numerous guests. Among the guests were Alexander Drozdenko acting Governor of Leningrad region, the representatives of the Government of the Leningrad region, the Administration of the settlement Voznesenye, the Customer - Automobile road department of Leningrad region, the subcontractor, Nevsky Shipyard and the family members of Arkady Filatov, after whom the ferry was named.
The ribbon cutting by the acting Governor of Leningrad region and Alexander Filatov gave the start of putting the ferry into operation. The ferry set off her maiden voyage with honourable guests.
While crossing the river Svir the guests saw not only service rooms but also saloons for passengers. They worthily appreciated comfortable and up-to-date ambiance.
