According to Komsomolskaya Pravda (St. Petersburg) on 17th of June 2016 multifunction rescue vessel (MRV) with a capacity of 4 MW project MPSV07 " Spasatel Demidov " the Azov-Black Sea branch of the FBM " Marine Salvage Service of RosMorRechFlot " together with "Fertoing" carried out the lift from the bottom of the Kerch Strait the fourth ground-attack aircraft IL-2. All four aircrafts have been discovered in the autumn of 2015.
The expedition of the Kronstadt Naval Museum was attended by military historians, searchers and journalists. Found planes were shot down in 1943 in the Kerch-Eltigen Operation.
