As to information from Marine Rescue Service of RosMorRechFlot, in October 2019, MPSV12 project vessel "Bahtemir" , a multifunctional small-draught rescue tugboat, took part in the international complex Russian-Finnish emergency response exercises to eliminate the consequences of a tanker accident at sea.
The exercises took place in the waters of the Luga Bay of the Gulf of Finland in the vicinity of the seaport of Ust-Luga under the Agreement of 1989 between the USSR Government and the Government of the Republic of Finland on cooperation in combating pollution of the Baltic Sea with oil and other harmful substances in emergency situations.
The exercises consisted of two stages and four episodes: the search and rescue of people in distress at sea, extinguishing of fire on a ship, the elimination of an oil spill in the sea, and the elimination of an oil spill in the coastal strip.
MPSV12 project vessel "Bahtemir», a multifunctional small-draught rescue tugboat, was built at Nevsky Shipyard (a part of USC). There are 4 vessels in the series.
FSD "State Customer Management of Maritime Transport Development Programs" of the Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport of the Russian Federation is a Customer. Vessel's project was designed by Marine Engineering Bureau.
