Nevsky Shipyard laid the keel of sea tanker “Vasilii Nikitin”

The keel of new tanker of 23130 project was laid in accordance with the seafaring traditions and taking into account the current restrictions due to COVID-19. The new sea tanker will be named «Vasilii Nikitin» and will become the first medium-sized sea tanker in the series. The customer is Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.

In the keel laying ceremony the representatives of the client and classification society, as well the project and shipyard management were present.

The vessel is designed for receiving, storing, transporting and transferring of liquid cargo: diesel fuel, fuel oil, aviation kerosene, motor oil, water. Dry cargos: food, skipper and technical equipment.

The ship is being designed and built to Russian Maritime Register of Shipping class: КМ Arc4 [1] AUT1 VCS IGS-NG CCO Oil tanker (ESP)
