Students and schoolchildren visited Nevsky Shipyard
Nevsky Shipyard (part of the USC) held an action WEEK WITHOUT TURNSTILES. The action, which takes place twice a year on the initiative of the Leningrad regional branch of Russian Engineering Union, was attended by students, schoolchildren and teachers of secondary and technical schools of Leningrad region.
More than 100 students visited the Shipyard within five days. Among them are students of the Priladozhskaya Secondary School, Shlisselburg Secondary School No. 1, Water Transport Technical School and students of the Kirovsk Polytechnic College.
For each group of pupils and students, a personal tour route around the Shipyard was developed, taking into account their specialization and age category.
The students visited the hull-assembly and assembly-delivery shops, the automatic line for assembly and welding of flat sections, the slipway of the Shipyard. Young people learned how the construction of a ship begins, what stages of processing the metal goes through, how the sections are assembled and the ship's hull is formed.
During the WEEK WITHOUT TURNSTILES the students had an opportunity to get acquainted with the activities of one of the leading enterprises in the region, talk with shipyard workers about the features of work and career prospects.
